i find myself buying sliced wheat bread

Hello fans, found this ad campaign from the Ads of the World from a few year's back.  Love the headlines and caption which reads "What's happening to you is called a World Cup.  The sports newspaper that knows how it feels every four years".   A great example of how a good concept is worth a thousand words and images.

walk around the house like a champion

Another glitter work to my collection.  I love this quote and how it relates to the champion in all of us, that winner attitude and that glow that comes from within when we achieve our goals.  I know it sounds a bit over-confident and bold.  Still, true champions stretch the boundaries between confidence and an obnoxious cockiness.

rest on your laurels

I have just added this glitter work to my shop in etsy.    The Greeks gave a wreath of laurels to crown the winner.   While the quote comes from the idea that our heroes can rest in their glory and suggests a praise, it is more a suggestion of laziness and lack of application.
My quote for the day, the sky's the limit so always aim higher!

fancard

Dear Fan
I am back!  You have probably been wondering where I got to and the truth is never enough for you my dear fan, who want to follow my every move.  While to you I am a star, I get absorbed by my busy days and nights and I do want to indulge you.  This is my Fancard, it will be launched with a customised football rack travelling all the way to Rio de Janeiro tomorrow.  While I wish I could travel with it and shake your hand I promise you I can't and so I will send you my autograph and a personal note.
I thankyou for your time and look forward to hearing from you once again.
I am off to practice some juggling, here it is a beautiful day.

I shuffled through some of my favourite things in my studio because I need to start making some new work.  I've also been busy changing over to my new name (Like Grass for Giants).  I am quite excited about all the changes I have in store.

new beginnings

Hill Pitch for Maradona
(a gift for Diego)

Isn't this pitch incredible?
I am starting a new blog to share my passion for football (especially).  I want to share things that I find through my curious trekking and to showcase my work as it progresses. I think this image is the most appropriate to start off with and in a way represents what I love about the sport.  The greeness of the pitch, the endless possibilities and hopes.  In a way dreamy and exaggerated but so alluring.
